Position Description

Position Description:    The Digital Marketing & Social Media Coordinator/Graphic Designer is responsible for assisting with administrative tasks and marketing needs, including creating and editing digital (and some print) media, for Seabrook Island Real Estate and Seabrook Island Club. This position reports directly to the Director of Marketing & Communications.



Digital Marketing / Social Media / Website responsibilities:

  • Interpret written or spoken ideas and concepts into compelling graphics, materials and templates with high visual impact that align with either the Seabrook Island identity or specific project messages
  • Working with outside PR/Social Marketing agency, you will:

–  Post, monitor, and create marketing and social media campaigns and strategies, including budget planning, content ideation, and implementation schedules

 –  Maintain social media accounts to grow or establish presence on new media, as well as established, outlets, including but not limited to the following: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest

–  Suggest engaging and relevant content appropriate for social platforms

–  Analyze traffic to web and social media sites and recommend any necessary programming changes, providing a monthly report on the statistics of RE/Club social media and website visits

–  Combines marketing and social media management skills to architect and enhance company social media presences, including interacting with customers, promoting brand-focused interactive and engaging content

–  Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy

  • Maintains a working knowledge of principles of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) including keyword research and Google Analytics is a plus

Email Coordination responsibilities:

  • Generate all email communications for real estate
  • Provide proofs of all email communication and artwork to Marketing Director and/or agents/Broker
  • Produce and execute marketing schedule for all Property E-blasts and schedule future email communications
  • Operate and organize SIRE’s email accounts & contacts database
  • Maintain SIRE prospect/leads/CRM/Sharp Spring/email databases


Graphic Design responsibilities:

  • Interpret written or spoken ideas and concepts into compelling graphics, materials and templates with high visual impact that align with either the Seabrook Island identity or specific project messages
  • Creates and distributes engaging written or graphic content in the form of e-newsletters, web page and blog content, or social media messages
  • Design, create and manage promotions and social ad campaigns, being sure to integrate with company’s overall marketing campaign plan and channels.
  • Update SIRE quarterly Real Estate Listing Guide


Other Job Functions:

  • Lead by example and promote Seabrook Core Values, Characteristics, Employee Constitution and Decision Making.
  • Basic photo/video editing
  • Administrative assistance to agents and marketing department.
  • Develop and expand community and/or influencer outreach efforts
  • Compile reports for management showing results of Return on Investment (ROI)
  • Assist on all special events for department
  • Complete any other projects or tasks as assigned by the Marketing Director or Broker-In-Charge
  • Researches and monitors activity of company competitors
  • Identify potential negative or crisis situation and apply conflict resolution principles to mitigate issues.

Job Requirements:

Education:  Bachelor’s Degree or degree in graphic design, digital marketing, fine arts, English/journalism/writing, or any other related field or any combination of education and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and ability.

Experience:  Entry level, 1-2 years of marketing or graphic design experience preferred. Previous real estate or MLS experience a plus.

Skills:  Graphic design knowledge with programs such as InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc., specifically with mockups, print publications, web design, social media graphics, and other media presentations. Knowledge and experience in both digital and print mediums. Communication skills. Customer-service skills. Photography skills and manipulation. Basic video creation and editing skills. Social media management. Journalism background. Email platform (MailChimp and/or ConstantContact) experience. WordPress and HTML/CSS skills are a plus. Experience with Google AdWords and website analytics & tracking (Google Analytics). Analytical thinker. Organizational skills a must. Ability to multitask, prioritize and work under deadlines. Meticulous attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment. Excellent customer service skills.

Typical Physical Demands:  Requires sitting, standing, bending and reaching.  May require some lifting of up to 50 pounds.  Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machinery.  Requires normal range of hearing and vision. Requires ability to function professionally in an environment that can be fast paced and mentally stressful and challenging.
