Essential Job Functions:

  1. Assist with daily shop upkeep including opening, mid-day, closing procedures, refresh coolers with ice and water, empty garbage and recycling, general upkeep throughout facility, organize porch/deck furniture.
  2. Answer phone calls and emails as well as check voicemails. Accurately take and relay messages for supervisors and all other employees.
  3. Ensure that computers, printers and office equipment are functioning correctly.
  4. Monitor shop supplies, bulletin boards, towels, coffee, Gatorade and other supply usage and inform supervisor of needs.
  5. Know current merchandise and actively promote sales of merchandise to members and guests.

Job Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma

Experience: Retail, recreation or customer service experience preferred. Experience in the tennis field preferred. Must obtain a valid driver's license.

Skills: Excellent customer service, communication, and mathematical skills, comfortable with computer software.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Equipment to be used: Must be able to operate computer and other routine office equipment, hydraulic court rolling machine, various small court tools and machinery

Typical Physical Demands: Requires sitting, standing, bending, reaching. Requires the ability to stand for long periods of time. May require some heavy lifting up to 30 lbs. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and vision. Requires the ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures/climate at times.
