Asian Cooking Demonstration with Executive Chef!
What could be better than learning how to prepare mouthwatering new dishes from an expert chef? We can think of one and that’s getting to taste your delicious meal too! This Thursday (March 14th) from 11:30 am to 2 pm, come on over to the Atlantic Ballroom and learn how to whip up some classic Asian meals.
Seabrook Island Club’s Executive Chef known as, Randy MacDonald will be providing cooking demonstrations on how to prepare four unique Asian dishes. First up, is one of our favorite types of comfort food–the chicken potsticker with Ponzu sauce. Getting this dish perfectly crispy is an art form that Chef Randy is anxiously waiting to pass onto his favorite members.
The next item on the agenda is traditional Chinese Chicken Salad–think crunchy romaine lettuce with the perfect ratio of rice noodles to almonds to make your tastebuds sing. For the main course, Chef Randy will be preparing Kung Pao Chicken with sautéed vegetables and rice on the side. Make sure you save room for the last course, especially if you consider dessert to be your favorite meal. Chef Randy will be serving up matcha ice cream with banana spring rolls and it’s guaranteed that by the end of the night, you’ll know how to wrap a banana spring roll like a pro.
After our Executive Chef shows you how to cook and prepare each food item, you will get to sample them–perhaps the best part of the night. If you count yourself among the ranks of us who could eat Asian food just about every day, this is not an event you’ll want to miss.
The tables at the Atlantic Ballroom will seat eight to ten people. You have the option of creating a group to fill an entire table or of joining a group at a table with open seats. Bring your friends or make some here–there’s no better way to socialize than over a freshly-prepared meal!
Seats at this event are $22 per person and there will be a member charge bar available throughout the demonstration.
