Christmas On Seabrook Island
Whether you’re escaping the wind chills up north or coming to spend quality time with Family, there’s nothing quite like a Christmas holiday on Seabrook Island. The festive decor is up and the Island is ready to deck the halls all December long. There’s plenty of events coming up to keep you busy and in the Christmas spirit.

Festival of Lights
Grab the family and head out to the iconic James Island Festival of Lights for a holiday experience you won’t soon forget. Every Christmas, James Island County Park is transformed into a holiday oasis made up of holiday lights by the thousands. This event is a favorite among locals and keeps Charlestonians of all ages coming back year after year.
Enjoy a show of lights cued to music that is made up of all your favorite Christmas classics played throughout your vehicle as you make your way through James Island County Park. Half-way through the show, you can take a pit-stop at one of the areas that offer games, hot-cocoa and sweet treats. You can even count on a visit from Santa himself––make sure to stop by and grab a photo or two.
You can see this light show for yourself every night rain or shine until January 1st at 5:30-10pm on Sunday-Thursday and 5:30-11pm on Friday and Saturday. Ticket prices range from $15-$20 per vehicle.
Johns Island Holiday Market
Take a short drive out to Johns Island on for a holiday themed market on Saturday, December 22nd where you’ll much more than just vegetables. Bring the family along and even your pets to partake in festive activities, shopping for local goods, holiday treats and an abundance of food. The Johns Island market is free to attend and also offers free parking. Find this market set up on the campus of Charleston Collegiate School, 2024 Academy Road, Johns Island, SC 29455.
Meet Santa at Seabrook Island Club
Come meet your favorite man in red at the Seabook Island Club in the Atlantic room on Saturday December 15th from 11am-1pm. You can expect a plethora of milk and cookies, activities and a few pictures with the man of the hour.
The Magic of New Years Eve Party
Kick off the New Year with a cocktail party on Monday December 31st at the Seabrook Island Club. Join friends and family for a cocktail hour starting at 7:30pm in the Palmetto room and Bohicket Lounge, followed plated dinner in the Atlantic and Carolina rooms. You can expect to fill your plate with hors d’oeuvres consisting of steak tartare, coconut shrimp and wild mushroom ravioli. As you find your seat, you’ll be served a lentil and crab soup followed by a grilled filet and lobster tail and finish your meal with cherry chocolate walnut cake.
After dinner, ring in the New Year with live music by The Power 2 Party Band in the Atlantic Ballroom. Dress is formal/black tie optional and seating for dinner is limited.
