Date Night On and Around Seabrook Island

Romantic evenings with the one you love need not be confined to the month of February. Date nights can and should be sprinkled throughout the year! Luckily for our residents, coming up with ideas for date night on Seabrook Island and in the surrounding areas is a simple task; take a look at just a few of our suggestions below.

Date Night On Seabrook Island

Seabrook Island is known for having some of the best sunset views in the Lowcountry. If being surrounded by charming boats and peaceful waters sounds like the makings of a sunset to remember, head to Bohicket Marina and Market. If you would prefer to see the sunset from a higher vantage point, grab some dinner at Bohicket’s Lounge and go out to the Sea View Terrace to watch the sunset over the Atlantic.

For a more formal dining experience, make a reservation in Seabrook’s Palmetto Room for upscale Southern cuisine. The dishes on the featured menu change daily and dining here also allows for Atlantic Ocean views.

Seabrook Island Club Palmetto Room Dining

Whoever said that date night had to be calm and relaxing? If you and your partner are up for some friendly competition, make reservations to play on one of Seabrook Island Racquet Club’s clay courts or hit the SIPOA Fitness and Wellness Center for some afternoon swimming.

Date Night Around Seabrook Island

Seabrook’s ideal location is only a short drive from downtown Charleston where you and your boo can gain access to all of the Holy City’s date night activities. If you don’t want to drive into the downtown section, there are also things to do outside of that area.

Food and Drinks

The Lowcountry has a number of excellent distilleries. Firefly Distillery on Wadmalaw Island is the largest distillery in South Carolina and offers daily tours and tastings. Should you make your way onto the peninsula, Revelry Brewing has a rooftop bar as well as a tasting room.

There is usually something food related happening in Charleston. Charleston Restaurant Week is happening now (and will be back in early 2020) and Charleston Wine + Food Festival kicks off in March.

Nature

Instead of going out to eat, you could pack a picnic and set up at Angel Oak on John’s Island. There are a few picnic tables in the park that have a perfect view of the oldest tree east of the Mississippi.

The Arts

Charleston and the arts are practically synonymous. Visit the Gibbes, the Gaillard Center, Dock Street Theatre, Charleston Music Hall, Redux, Theatre 99, the Halsey, or any of the galleries on upper King and Broad Street.

The next time you’re looking for date night ideas on and around Seabrook, try out something from this list! If you’re planning to dine on Seabrook or play on one of the tennis courts, don’t forget to make a reservation with the kitchen or the Seabrook Island Racquet Club.
