Seabrook Island Ladies Golf Association 9 and Wine

Have you or a female friend been looking for a way to get more involved in the Seabrook Island golf community? If so, the Seabrook Island Ladies Golf Association (SILGA) has the perfect event to get you out on the green with plenty of new and familiar faces! Starting at 3 pm on Friday, May 31st, SILGA will host their Ladies 9 and Wine event. Play will conclude around 6 pm, and you will have the option to join your new friends for drinks at Bohicket’s Lounge afterwards!

9 and Wine will take place on the Ocean Winds golf course and play will commence shotgun style. Though we all love a good competition, this is a friendly and low-stress environment designed to bring our female Seabrook Island golfing community together for some casual fun! Guests may join as well. Ladies can choose to sign up as a group or be grouped by our Pro Shop.

Is this the first time you’re hearing about SILGA? SILGA’s mission is to support programs that make golf more welcoming and accessible to anyone who wishes to play the game. To that end, they organize both casual and competitive games, special events like the 9 and Wine one on May 31st, and tournaments within the club and between other ones. Golfers of all skill levels are encouraged to take part!

SILGA offers programs on several days per week. Casual 18-hole golfing matches as well as tournaments take place on Wednesday mornings and more relaxed 9-hole games are played on Thursday afternoons. In addition, SILGA has a mentoring program to help you improve your skills and understand how rule changes will affect your play. This year, SILGA is also offering sessions taught by USGA golf professionals to practice specific skills.
