The Seabrook Island Club Board is pleased to announce Mitchell Laskowitz will officially join the Seabrook Island Club as General Manager and Chief Operating Officer beginning Monday, December 6, 2021.

Mitchell Laskowitz brings with him more than 25 years of diversified experience in hospitality and private club management. He recently held the position of Head of National Golf Operations at American Golf Corp in Dallas, Texas, where he oversaw 60 private clubs across the United States. He also served as the Vice President of Customer Experience at Bluegreen Resorts, and held VP/General Manager roles at ClubCorp, Brandywine Senior Living, Toll Brothers, Tam O’Shanter Country Club, and more.

His expertise is impressive and comprehensive: full-service club management, community relations, innovative revenue growth, talent acquisition and engagement, and board governance. Members and staff can expect high levels of transparency, collaboration, and communication from him.

After decades of managing many country club divisions, resorts, and individual clubs, Laskowitz was drawn to Seabrook Island in SC for its master plan and excellent amenities, and also the island’s continued growth and potential. “There are wonderful opportunities here to launch innovative concepts which will elevate the member experience,” he said. “Seabrook has the ability to become a Platinum Club, and I look forward to playing a role in making that happen.”

Laskowitz is originally from New York, but with ties to the Lowcountry. He and his wife Kelly have two children, Ashley (25) and Aaron (23).

As we welcome Mitchell Laskowitz to Seabrook Island, we would like to express deep gratitude to Stephen Roper for serving as Seabrook’s Interim GM/COO for the past four months. Steve’s thoughtful leadership and expertise have been invaluable through a challenging year. Although his role was temporary, Steve’s positive impact will continue to endure at Seabrook Island Club.
