Ready to Kick It at Bohicket?

Bohicket Marina is the place to be this time of year! Here are some events you won’t want to miss.

Kick It At Bohicket

The family friendly event will occur every Tuesday from Memorial Day until Labor Day. Kid friendly activities include face painting and jump houses. Kids may join the adults on the dance floor too, as shag music will be played by a DJ throughout the evening. This event has grown in popularity, and we expect this year to be even better! Hundreds of people come out on the docks and enjoy specials from places like Reds or Fischer’s Sports Grill. Sip on some frozen cocktails, nibble on some nachos with the kids, and enjoy the fresh air with friends. The view is spectacular to watch as the sun goes down. Just remember to bring your dancing shoes.

Kid’s Fishing Tournament

It will be held every Wednesday morning until Labor Day. There will be two one-hour sessions where kids will try to catch the biggest or the ugliest fish. The first session is from 10:00-11:00am, with another following from 11:00-12:00pm. Kids of all ages may come out and spend the morning competing against other kids in this friendly and fun tournament. Fish may include redfish, whiting, trout, flounder, and more! Stop by one of the tasty restaurants afterward, or pick up some ice cream for your kids…and yourself!

Billfish Tournament

The Annual Billfish Tournament will be held from June 3-6. Plan to stop by as a spectator and see what the teams bring in for competition. Huge dolphin, wahoo and tuna will be pulled from the boats for weigh-in. The atmosphere for the event is one of pure support and appreciation for the art of fishing. Being part of the larger Governor’s Billfish Series, Bohicket Marina’s Billfish Tournament hopes to land the winning prize for the overall largest with teams, individuals and lady anglers vying for the win. It’s a fun time for the fisherman and the spectators who cheer them on!
