It’s summer in the Lowcountry and there’s no better way to enjoy the sunshine than spending time out on the water! There’s no shortage of aquatic experiences on Seabrook Island, from our oceanfront pools to our two pristine beaches. Sailing Tours

Take in Seabrook from a different view — set sail from one of our nearby marinas and embark on a memorable adventure. Whether you are looking for a hands-on exploration or a leisurely sunset cruise along the coast, Bohicket Marina has something for everyone. Nothing but smooth sailing here!

1 – Kiawah Sailing

From the deck of his 33-foot sailboat, Palmetto Tide, Captain Jack offers a variety of exciting and personalized sailing experiences. A few of his popular tours include Private Island Picnic Shelling Adventures, Sunset Sail, Family Fishing, Sailing Lessons (Beginner to Advanced), Dolphin Watching, Champagne Cruises, and Full Day V.I.P. Cruises which entail all of the above. You can even charter your own private sailing yacht for inshore and offshore sailing.

2 – Holy City Sailing

Embark on a private three-hour tour with up to six passengers (all ages welcome) aboard the Beneteau 373 — a past Boat of the Year award winner. Hosted by Captain Chad Stewart, passengers enjoy a scenic sunset view with a guaranteed sighting of our resident dolphins. A typical sailing tour cruises down the Bohicket River to the North Edisto. 3 – Blue Dot Voyages

Hosted by Captain Stephen Bell and Dawn Bell, Blue Dot Voyages offers limited opportunities to charter and learn to sail aboard the Leopard48 and Pilar vessels in the waters surrounding Charleston, Seabrook, Kiawah, Edisto, Beaufort, and Hilton Head. Bring up to five people to enjoy a sea life encounter, sailing lesson, or catamaran sailing experience out on the water. It’s endless fun dolphin watching, sunset sailing, beaching, swimming, paddle boarding, and fishing. Leave from the North Edisto inlet near Seabrook Island and adventure to the destination of your choice depending on the requested duration of the voyage.

The Charleston food industry is known for its local delicious seafood, but what better way to experience the Lowcountry than to catch your own fresh fare! Schedule a day to appreciate the abundance of sea life our local waters have to offer. Whether you’re looking to go crabbing, nearshore fishing, or inshore fishing, there are lots of options for you to choose from.

1 – Keen Eye Charters

Book a two- or three-hour fishing charter with Captain Keen of Keen Eye Charters out in the open ocean or chasing redfish, trout, flounder, and sharks in the tidal creeks. Join Captain Darrell Crabtree on his 21’ Triton Center Console for inshore light tackle sportfishing in the beautiful waters surrounding Kiawah Island and Seabrook Island. The list of targeted fish species includes redfish, spotted seatrout, flounder, black drum, cobia, king mackerel, ladyfish, black sea bass, Spanish mackerel, spadefish, tarpon, and blacktip shark. Your fishing trip will conclude with the cleaning and filleting of your fresh catch for a delicious dinner later on. If you don’t want to cook your fish at home, Captain Crabtree has recommendations for the best local spots to prepare it for you.

3 – Marlin Dog Marine

Captain Will Fredrick welcomes passengers ages 3 and up to join him on his 22’ Pathfinder Bay Boat. Located in Bohicket Marina, Marlin Dog Marine provides access to plentiful Intracoastal Waterways as well as the Atlantic Ocean. A few species you might encounter include redfish, flounder, spotted seatrout, grouper, spadefish, black sea bass, and more! Captain Frederick provides the fishing rods, reels, bait, and license, all you need to do is grab life jackets for the little ones.

4 – Lil Darlin’ Charters

Lil Darlin’ Charters runs various fishing trips around Charleston’s local waterways out of St. Johns Yacht Harbor on Maybank Highway. Our fisheries are home to some of the finest inshore species including spotted sea trout, redfish, black sea bass, tarpon, sharks, and more!
