Featured Property Friday: A Touch of Tuscany

Posted 12/01/2017

Now that we have hit December, the countdown is officially on to Christmas (yay!) and the first day of winter (yikes!) Because of our slightly cooler temperatures as of late in the Lowcountry, I have found myself already dreaming of faraway lands of tropical or Mediterranean conditions. Insert this week’s #FeaturedPropertyFriday blog post: “A Touch of Tuscany.”

3655 Cobia Court offers a touch of Italian flair, right here on Seabrook! If dark woods, rich stones and balconies with ocean views are your jam, you’ll feel perfectly content in this home’s beautifully decorated spaces.

Originally designed by renowned Kiawah Island and Seabrook Island architect Christopher Rose in 2012, every inch of this Tuscan-style home was impeccably planned and luxuriously appointed. It is dressed throughout in rich stone and hardwood flooring, handsome trims and moldings, arched doorways and some of the finest finishes. Stroll up the front spiral-esque stairway to an arched front door and doorway. The 2-story foyer is DRAMATIC and the curved staircase is a sight to be seen. It opens into the living room with a fireplace with carved stone mantel, which opens to a covered terrace, and leads into the dining room.

Fostering an easy-flow throughout, step through the dining room to the stunning kitchen. Here Tuscany is best represented! Just check out the photo below, one of my favorite snapshots that Listings in Motion expertly captured that night.

Both beautiful and functional, the gourmet kitchen features Thermador appliances, granite countertops, custom cabinetry, a center island with seating and storage, stone tile flooring, a 6-burner gas range, a custom refrigerator in a French armoire, a hand-painted ceiling mural over the island, a pantry and French doors that open to a covered patio for al fresco dining. (PHEW!)

The terraces are the stars of the show here and truly invoke the dreamy feeling of dining in Tuscany!

Dressed in Caribbean Pine flooring and featuring a private balcony with breathtaking ocean views, the private master suite has two walk-in closets, a marble bath with a steam shower and a soaking tub.

Additional spaces include: a sunroom/loggia off of the kitchen, a master sitting room, two en suite guest bedrooms with private balconies and a study with a wet bar.

Why book a plane ticket to Italy when you can experience Tuscany right here on Seabrook Island instead?
