Bohicket Marina & Market
Less than a mile northeast from the island’s gates is Bohicket Marina & Market. The marina is home to 200 wet slips, 90 dry storage slips, and a quaint market with wonderful restaurants, shops and offices.
The marina features mean low-tide depths of 14′, no fixed bridges, 100-amp power, high-speed fuel delivery and new IPE woods docks. Just two-and-a-half miles from the North Edisto Inlet, this picturesque marina is easily accessible from both the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway.
Located off the roundabout between Seabrook Island and Kiawah Island, this impressive spot for premier shopping, fine and casual dining, convenient services, and family-friendly outdoor events is a world unto itself. The most common reaction from newcomers is, “Wow, I can’t believe all of this is here!” Coffee shops and ice cream parlors. Cafés and cantinas. Sports bars and wine bars. Sushi. Shoes. Apparel. Housewares. A gas station, three banks, and your new favorite grocery store. A bookstore. Art studios. An outfitters. An optical shoppe. Medical care. Health stores and beauty salons. A pet supplies store. Even a veterinarian. Really, you could never leave…
Beyond the Islands
Charleston and the surrounding islands offer a plethora of fantastic dining and shopping just a short scenic drive from the gates.
