Veterans Day Charity Golf Tournament
Golf for a cause with the Seabrook Island Club and the Kiawah-Seabrook Exchange Club on November 12 as they hold their 7th annual Annual Veterans Day Charity Golf Tournament to raise money for Charleston’s very own Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center and Fisher House Charleston. Viewed as a ‘home away from home,’ Fisher House Charleston provides comfortable living spaces for those who have bravely served our country and runs solely on charitable donations. This cozy space serves as a place for patients from the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center to recover, which has been serving veterans since 1966 and works to provide care for over 67,000 former soldiers.
While supporting a good cause, members and nonmembers get to enjoy the day golfing at one of the Lowcountry’s most beautiful and uniquely challenging courses. To participate, members of Seabrook Island Club are required to pay a $70 entry fee, or $120 for non-members. Each entry fee contributes $50 to support Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center and Fisher House Charleston.
Participants are invited to register as individuals or as a team and will begin their day with a captain’s choice scramble at 9:30 a.m., followed by lunch sponsored by Seabrook Island Real Estate. Those who choose not to participate in golf or are not able are still welcome to donate and can send a check to Alan Armstrong, located at 2427 Golf Oak Park, Seabrook Island, SC 29455. Do note that checks must be made payable to Fisher House Charleston or the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center.
To register, contact the Seabrook Island Golf Shop by emailing golf@discoverseabrook.com or give them a call at 843-768-2529. If you have any questions in regards to this event, you are invited to contact Alan Armstrong directly at 843-768-9252.
